On the afternoon of March 27, Toshiba Television held its 2026 True Picture & Sound and Original Color RGB Mini LED flagship new product launch event. The company introduced a full lineup of new models, including the REGZA ZX Series, the REGZA 700 Series (Z700SF PRO/R700SF), and the Ciao 600 Series (Z600SF PRO/R600SF), targeting different consumer segments.

The REGZA ZX Series is positioned as an "exceptional global ultra-flagship" model. It features a four-chip original color backlight system, 40,000-level backlight dimming zones, and a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, achieving 110% of the BT.2020 ultra-wide color gamut. Equipped with the Bazooka SOUND Ultra audio system with up to 24 sound units, it delivers powerful sound. Its ultra-thin 37mm (116-inch) body, combined with a 10mm seamless wall-mount design, integrates premium audiovisual performance with home aesthetics.

The REGZA 700 Series is positioned at the "pinnacle of audio and video." The REGZA Z700SF PRO model boasts 6,864 color control zones, native 4K 180Hz ultra-high refresh rate, and a 330Hz fast mode. It features a slim 44mm body and supports a dual-channel pixel reverberation front-firing sound design. The REGZA R700SF offers 5,184 color control zones paired with a native 4K 180Hz high refresh rate, delivering excellent performance for both movies and gaming.

The Ciao 600 Series focuses on "upgraded renewal." The Ciao Z600SF PRO achieves 99% ultra-high color purity, with 3,960 color control zones and a native 4K 180Hz ultra-high refresh rate. The Ciao R600SF offers multiple advantages, including dedicated chip control, original color picture quality, excellent sound effects, intelligent audiovisual control, and comfortable eye protection.

According to Toshiba Television, the core breakthrough of these new flagship products lies in the deep implementation of the Original Color RGB Mini LED technology. Through technical optimizations across three layers—hardware foundation, algorithm engine, and expert calibration—the image quality returns to the natural realism perceived by the human eye.

At the hardware level, Toshiba utilizes multi-crystal three-primary-color backlight chips to achieve precise wavelengths and extremely narrow half-peak widths. The color purity for red, green, and blue reaches 99%, 92%, and 100% respectively. Color gamut coverage can reach up to 110% BT.2020, which is nearly 30% higher than standard Mini LED and about 10% higher than OLED, establishing a strong foundation for original color reproduction from the light source.

On the algorithm engine front, Toshiba employs its self-developed ZRα AI Light & Color Simultaneous Control chip, coupled with a newly upgraded AI three-dimensional color control algorithm. This enables synchronous and coordinated adjustment of brightness and color, achieving a color control precision of up to 134 bits. The control capability for hue, saturation, and brightness is improved by over 400% compared to standard SOC chips and by more than 200% compared to common single color control chips available on the market.
