Shares of AKESO (09926.HK) surged 5.33% in early trading on Wednesday, following the release of the company's impressive 2025 interim results and positive clinical trial outcomes for its key drug candidates.

The biopharmaceutical company reported a significant 37.75% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching RMB 1.412 billion for the first half of 2025. Commercial sales revenue saw an even more substantial growth of 49.20%, primarily driven by the inclusion of two of its flagship drugs, Cadonilimab and Ivonescimab, in China's National Reimbursement Drug List. The company also benefited from newly approved first-line indications and the successful commercial launch of two additional products, Inosimab and Loqtorzi.

Investors were particularly encouraged by the clinical success of Ivonescimab (AK112), AKESO's PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody. The company announced that the Chinese Phase III HARMONi-A study for Ivonescimab in non-small cell lung cancer patients with EGFR-TKI progression met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant and clinically meaningful overall survival benefit. This positive outcome, along with the drug's recent approval by China's National Medical Products Administration, reinforces AKESO's position as a leader in innovative cancer therapies and suggests strong future growth potential.
