Lincoln National's stock surged 7.38% during intraday trading on Thursday, extending gains from pre-market activity.
The sharp rise follows the company's release of its fourth-quarter 2025 financial results, which significantly exceeded analyst expectations. Lincoln National reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.21, beating the consensus estimate of $1.90 by 16.38%. Quarterly revenue came in at $4.92 billion, also surpassing the $4.84 billion forecast.
The strong performance was driven by broad-based execution across all business segments, with significant earnings improvement in the Life Insurance segment due to better mortality experience and higher investment returns. The Annuities segment posted a 7.0% increase in operating revenue, while Group Protection saw premium growth across all products.
