During an appearance on the program "Zhongguancun Dialogue: AI Spring Evening" broadcast on China Central Television, Baichuan Intelligent Founder and CEO Wang Xiaochuan remarked in a conversation with East China Normal University's Zijiang Distinguished Professor Liu Qing that artificial intelligence, in a certain sense, represents an intellectual capacity surpassing that of humans.

Wang Xiaochuan stated that beginning with AlphaFold, we have witnessed AI starting to design proteins autonomously, progressing to forming chromosomes. Moving forward, he anticipates significant transformations in the rationality of drug design and molecular screening. He even suggested that we are beginning to model human life itself. Citing Demis Hassabis of DeepMind, Wang noted the belief that within a few years, AI could potentially enable the cure of all diseases.

"In my view, the advancement of AI is synonymous with the progress of human civilization," Wang expressed. "Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) assists us in flourishing and ensuring the continuity of human civilization; it is an integral component of it. It's analogous to having a child—would we worry that our child might be smarter than us?" Wang Xiaochuan indicated that if AI were to truly become a species, he would accept it.

"Anxiety itself is not brought about by AI; on the contrary, it brings us hope," Wang Xiaochuan concluded. "Being able to witness the new changes AI delivers every day, as long as we dare to embrace it and utilize it, then we become the most fortunate group of people in this era."
