According to information from the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Technology Cooperation Joint Conference of Provincial Capital Cities Along the Yellow River Basin and Xining's Sixth Technology Transfer Conference will be held in the city on August 29th. Nine cities - Taiyuan, Hohhot, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Lanzhou, Xining, Yinchuan, and Urumqi - will join hands to write a new chapter in the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.

The conference theme is "Technology Innovation Empowering Regional Collaboration, Nine Cities Joining Hands for Yellow River Development," aiming to make technological innovation serve as a link connecting upstream and downstream areas and bridging both banks of the river. This collaboration will allow different cities' advantages to complement each other and enable dispersed resources to increase in value through sharing.

In key areas crucial to basin development such as ecological restoration, water resource development and utilization, and water treatment technology, the nine cities will explore closer joint research models. This approach will focus top-tier expertise on the most pressing challenges, ensuring precise research directions and efficient resource allocation, so that technological achievements truly benefit both sides of the Yellow River.

Industrial innovation synergy is key to achieving "1+1>2" effects from the industrial advantages along the Yellow River Basin. For example, the establishment of Xining Salt Lake Industry Innovation Technology Alliance can deeply integrate the expertise of institutions like Tianjin University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Qinghai Salt Lake Research Institute with Qinghai's salt lake resources, breaking through technical bottlenecks in industrial development. The construction of Xiadu Pharmaceutical Innovation Hub can complement the plateau's pharmaceutical R&D advantages with eastern regions' market and capital advantages, accelerating achievement transformation.

Through such collaboration, the Yellow River Basin will form distinctive industrial clusters with complementary advantages, promoting industrial transformation toward high-end, intelligent, and green development. This will enable each city to find its position in the industrial chain and share development dividends.

On the conference day, the city will conduct a series of activities including the Provincial Capital Cities Joint Conference along the Yellow River Basin, the unveiling ceremony of Xining Salt Lake Industry Innovation Technology Alliance, and exchange salons on Yellow River Basin ecological protection. The intellectual exchanges between participating experts, scholars, and city technology department representatives will provide clearer pathways for future cooperation.
