Data analytics firm Verisk announced on Monday the termination of its planned $2.35 billion acquisition of roofing software developer AccuLynx. Verisk stated that the decision was made after the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) notified the company that it had not completed its review of the acquisition by the deal's termination date of December 26th. Verisk had officially announced the acquisition deal in July of this year, initially expecting the transaction to close in the third quarter of 2025. In a statement, Verisk said: 'AccuLynx has notified us that it believes Verisk's termination of the merger agreement is invalid. Verisk strongly disagrees with this assertion and intends to vigorously defend against any such claims.' As of the time of reporting, AccuLynx had not responded to a request for comment.
