Centurion Accommodation REIT said on Jan, 07 2026 that it has received the temporary occupation permit for a new 3,696-bed block at its Westlite Mandai workers’ dormitory.
The permit triggers the release of about 26.35 million Singapore dollars to the vendors of both Westlite Mandai and Westlite Toh Guan. The amount represents 85 per cent of the 31.0 million Singapore dollars previously retained to cover completion risks associated with the two projects.
With the new block in place, Westlite Mandai’s total capacity rises to 9,986 beds, including 1,980 beds that can be kept under the Mandai Expanded Capacity approval until Dec, 31 2030. An application for a Foreign Employee Dormitories Act licence covering the full 9,986 beds has been submitted.
Upon receipt of the licence, the manager will pay an additional 34.0 million Singapore dollars, termed the Mandai Expanded Capacity Consideration, to Lian Beng-Centurion (Mandai) Pte. Ltd.
The Westlite Mandai expansion forms part of the “Relevant Westlite Works” detailed in the trust’s prospectus dated Sep, 18 2025, alongside the 1,764-bed addition at Westlite Toh Guan, which obtained its temporary occupation permit on Oct, 25 2025.
