At the 2025 Baidu Cloud Intelligence Conference held today, Shen Dou, Executive Vice President of Baidu Group and President of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Business Group, pointed out: "In the intelligent economy era, enterprise requirements for AI infrastructure (AI Infra) have shifted from 'cost reduction and efficiency improvement' to 'directly creating value.' All intelligence generated by computing will be encapsulated into Agents, participating in value creation and delivery. Enterprise AI cloud will no longer be a cost center, but will become a new type of profit center."

Shen Dou noted that in the internet era, the core was information circulation, with websites and apps encapsulating and delivering information. Information flow created tremendous value, and for most enterprises, having one official website and several media accounts was sufficient. However, the intelligent era is different. Its core is Agent intelligence, which encapsulates intelligence and delivers results. Therefore, while enterprises may only need one official website and several accounts to display information, they will definitely have numerous Agents taking over various aspects from production to operations, directly creating value.

"Last year we said there would be as many Agents as there are scenarios. Now it seems that was still conservative. In the future, one position or one scenario might involve several or dozens of Agents," Shen Dou observed. "When the way value is created is restructured, the industrial chain will also evolve, and AI will enter a true 'super cycle.' Today, we are standing at the starting point of this super cycle, accelerating into the intelligent economy era!"

Shen Dou emphasized: "The intelligent economy era must be supported by new infrastructure, which is the intelligence-first AI cloud." Baidu Intelligent Cloud, which emphasized the "intelligent" attributes of cloud from its inception and is globally one of the earliest cloud platforms to focus on "intelligence," has become an important participant in promoting the arrival of the intelligent economy era.

At the conference, Shen Dou announced the upgraded release of Baidu's Paddle AI Computing Platform 5.0 and Qianfan Enterprise-level AI Development Platform 4.0, enabling enterprises to deploy and develop AI products at lower costs and higher efficiency. He also unveiled new digital employee member "Daniel Wu Digital English Coach," built on the capabilities and technology of the Huibo Star digital human, as well as the process compliance analysis capability of the Yijian Visual Large Model Platform.

According to his introduction, over 65% of state-owned enterprises implementing large models have chosen Baidu Intelligent Cloud; 80% of systemically important banks, over 150 insurance companies, securities firms, and fund companies implementing large models have chosen Baidu Intelligent Cloud; TOP10 mobile phone manufacturers implementing large models have chosen Baidu Intelligent Cloud; 95% of mainstream automotive companies implementing large models have chosen Baidu Intelligent Cloud; over 50% of gaming companies implementing large models have chosen Baidu Intelligent Cloud; and the majority of key embodied intelligence enterprises implementing large models have chosen Baidu Intelligent Cloud.
