美国联邦法院日前叫停了价值85亿美元的Tapestry与Capri合并计划,引发两家奢侈品集团股价剧烈波动。
合并方案曾计划让Tapestry旗下的Coach、Kate Spade、Stuart Weitzman,与Capri旗下的Michael Kors、Versace、Jimmy Choo等品牌携手打造一个美国奢侈品巨头。但美国联邦贸易委员会认为,此举将消除美国前两大手袋品牌之间的竞争,并有能力不公平地提高价格,因此于今年4月提起诉讼要求阻止合并。
近日,一名美国法官裁定此项合并违反反垄断法,支持了联邦贸易委员会的诉求。消息公布后,作为被否决方的Capri股价大跌近46%,而Tapestry则上涨近15%,主因是后者无需承担合并的不确定性,其自身发展前景获得市场认可。
