Amid the chilly winter winds sweeping through the streets, delivery riders remain a busy presence across the city. Recently, the Party Committee of Jingye Community in Tiexi District's Dugong Subdistrict, in collaboration with the Party branch of Gemdale Property's Jingxing Garden, launched a caring initiative titled "Winter Sunshine, Warmth for Riders." They distributed "warm winter kits"—comprising hot soy milk, fresh eggs, and insulated gloves—to delivery riders in the area, conveying the "big care" of grassroots Party organizations through these "small gestures of warmth."
During the event, community Party members and property volunteers prepared in advance: thermal containers filled with freshly brewed soy milk, neatly arranged eggs, and thick gloves packed and ready. Whenever a delivery rider stopped or passed by the community square, volunteers promptly approached, handing over the "warmth kits" with both hands and offering heartfelt greetings: "Brother, you’ve worked hard! Have some hot soy milk to warm up, and these gloves will keep your hands from freezing while riding."
"This soy milk warms me from the inside out," said delivery rider Mr. Wang, rubbing his hands as he received the kit, his face beaming with a smile. "Riding in winter is toughest when your hands freeze—these gloves came just in time. Thank you for the thoughtful care from the community and property management." Within just one morning, all the prepared "warm winter kits" were distributed, with smiles and words of gratitude creating the most touching scene of the season.
"Delivery riders are hailed as 'urban ferrymen' and deserve kindness," said Yu Yang, Secretary of the Jingye Community Party Committee. He noted that this event marks the beginning of care for workers in new business sectors, with plans to collaborate further with Gemdale Property to set up "Riders' Care Corners" in residential areas, offering services like drinking water and phone charging to extend the warmth. Shao Zhigang, head of the Gemdale Property Jingxing Garden Party branch, added that they will continue working with the community to deliver care to outdoor workers, ensuring the warmth of Party-building efforts brightens every journey.
