此外，美国总统特朗普宣布，白宫将为穿越霍尔木兹海峡的油轮提供海军护航和政治风险保险，旨在平抑能源价格。但前白宫官员鲍勃·麦克纳利表示，护航和保险需要一些时间才能实施。美国军方首先要压制伊朗用反舰巡航导弹和无人机布雷和攻击船只的能力。
