From October 10 to 15, the Department of Market and Information under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced the 2025 Agricultural Brand Excellence Cultivation List, with the regional public brand "Qinglong Chestnuts" from Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County successfully making the cut.

Located in the Yanshan Mountains' JD Chestnut Belt—a globally recognized golden production zone for chestnuts—Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County benefits from unique geographical and climatic conditions that endow Qinglong Chestnuts with exceptional quality. The county is renowned as the "Home of JD Chestnuts." Currently, Qinglong Chestnuts cover a cultivation area exceeding 1 million mu (approximately 666,667 hectares).

Thanks to its unparalleled growing conditions, Qinglong Chestnuts have become a representative product of JD Chestnuts, characterized by their uniform shape, bright color, high sugar content, fine texture, soft and sweet taste, and easily removable skin. In 2010, Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County was designated as a "One-Million-Mu Export-Oriented JD Chestnut Production Base County" and a "Demonstration County for Export Chestnut Quality and Safety." Between 2012 and 2018, the county won 13 awards at relevant agricultural product exhibitions. In 2025, it earned the National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark and the title of "National Famous, Special, and High-Quality New Agricultural Product."

In recent years, Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County has placed great emphasis on cultivating agricultural product brands, viewing them as key to enhancing market competitiveness, increasing agricultural value-added, and boosting farmers' incomes. By leveraging local specialties to develop "Qing"-branded products, the county has established an agricultural brand development framework: "1 (all-category regional public brand) + N (single-category regional public brands) + N (enterprise and product brands)." This approach has paved the way for brand-driven agricultural modernization and comprehensive rural revitalization.

To date, the county has certified 15 green food products, 18 organic agricultural products, and holds 3 geographical indication trademarks along with 3 national "Famous, Special, and High-Quality New Agricultural Product" titles.
