联合大陆航空成为最新一家上调托运行李费用的美国航空公司，此前捷蓝航空在本周早些时候已采取了类似行动。
该航空公司周四表示，对于在美国、墨西哥、加拿大和拉丁美洲旅行的乘客，托运第一件或第二件行李的费用将上涨10美元。而行程中托运第三件行李的费用则将大幅增加50美元。此项费用上调将于周五及之后购买的机票生效。
联合大陆航空称，这是其两年来首次上调行李托运费用。与以往一样，在大多数情况下，至少在航班起飞前24小时预付费的乘客可享受5美元的折扣。此前有权免费托运一件行李的乘客将继续享有该权益。
捷蓝航空此前上调行李费时，曾提及公司面临成本上升的压力。美国航空则已在二月中旬提高了其行李托运费用。
