According to media reports, the U.S. Department of Transportation has approved an application from American Airlines, permitting the carrier to operate flights from the United States to Venezuela through its regional subsidiary, Envoy Air. The reported flights will originate from Miami and will have destinations in the Venezuelan cities of Maracaibo and Caracas.
