CF PHARMTECH (02652) has announced that the marketing authorization application for its Tiotropium Bromide Powder for Inhalation product has been accepted by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China. Tiotropium bromide is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA). It works by binding to muscarinic receptors on bronchial smooth muscle, inhibiting the bronchoconstrictive cholinergic effects of acetylcholine, thereby providing 24-hour bronchodilation. The product is delivered to the deep lung via a specific inhalation device. Tiotropium Bromide Powder for Inhalation is one of the most widely prescribed inhaled formulations globally for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Leveraging its established systematic oral and nasal inhalation delivery technology platform, the company has built a comprehensive product portfolio covering multiple indications for respiratory and rhinitis conditions. The submission of this product for production approval signifies the further enhancement of the company's inhaled formulation product matrix in the COPD treatment field, the continuous expansion of product line coverage and therapeutic depth, and the consolidation of its specialized positioning in the broad respiratory formulation sector. The group will actively communicate with the NMPA and advance subsequent review procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
