China's Industrial Regulator Approves Two-Year Commercial Trial for Satellite IoT Services by Zhejiang Firm

On August 20, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced that it has recently approved Zhejiang Space-Time Daoyu Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Space-Time Daoyu) to conduct a commercial trial for satellite Internet of Things (IoT) services, with a trial period set for two years.

During this period, Space-Time Daoyu may lawfully pilot its satellite IoT business operations. Leveraging the "Geely Future Travel Constellation (Phase I)", the company will provide users with IoT connectivity services characterized by wide coverage, low power consumption, and high reliability. These services will enable round-the-clock, intelligent data collection and remote interaction across sectors such as smart transportation, marine fisheries, and energy and water conservancy.
