Somerley Capital (08439) has released a positive profit alert, forecasting a rise in its after-tax profit for the six months ending September 30, 2026, to no less than HK$2.5 million, compared to approximately HK$0.2 million in the same period of 2025.

The anticipated increase in profit is primarily driven by an expected revenue boost of at least HK$5 million, which continues the upward momentum of corporate finance activities seen at the end of the previous fiscal year.

This growth is partially offset by an expected rise of around HK$3 million in total employee benefit costs for the six-month period, mainly due to higher bonuses linked to the increased revenue.
