Vobile Group Half-Year 2026 Results: Revenue Climbs 24%, Net Profit Nearly Doubles on AI-Led Expansion

Hong Kong – Vobile Group reported a HK$1.81 billion in revenue for the six months ended 30 June 2026, a 24.0% year-on-year increase, supported by accelerating demand for its AI-driven content protection and monetisation platforms.

Gross profit rose 26.0% to HK$810.04 million, lifting gross margin to 44.9% (1H 2025: 44.1%). Profit for the period advanced 92.7% to HK$195.05 million, equivalent to a net margin of 10.8% versus 7.0% a year earlier. Non-IFRS adjusted net profit reached HK$193.66 million, up 60.3%, while adjusted EBITDA grew 26.4% to HK$344.37 million.

Segment performance showed value-added and other services revenue expanding 28.5% to HK$1.09 billion, accounting for 60.2% of group turnover. Subscription services contributed HK$717.88 million, up 17.7%, representing 39.8% of total sales. Geographically, revenue from the United States and other regions increased 27.1% to HK$927 million (51.4% of total), while Chinese Mainland revenue advanced 20.9% to HK$878 million (48.6% of total).

Operating expenses continued to scale with growth initiatives. Research and development spending rose 15.4% to HK$189 million as the company embedded AI capabilities across identification and monetisation workflows. Selling and marketing costs increased 24.6% to HK$240 million, and administrative costs climbed 13.5% to HK$128 million.

Total assets reached HK$6.49 billion at 30 June 2026, up 3.6% from year-end 2025, while total liabilities declined 6.7% to HK$2.63 billion following partial conversion and repurchase of outstanding convertible bonds. Net assets stood at HK$3.86 billion, a 12.1% rise over six months. Cash and cash equivalents totalled HK$896.48 million, supporting a current ratio of 1.3x; the gearing ratio remained steady at 21%.

Strategically, Vobile transitioned its AI content services from planning to commercial rollout. The DreamMaker platform generated more than US$10 million in compute-service revenue, and the company completed its first film-and-entertainment copyright cash-flow real-world-asset issuance under Hong Kong’s regulatory framework. Management highlighted expanding service scope—from traditional film and TV to AI-generated content, short dramas, music, and gaming—and expects the Vobile MAX and DreamMaker platforms to underpin future scalability.

The board declared no interim dividend for the period.
