On December 27, McDonald's China held its second fan convention in Shanghai, where He Yabin, the Chief Growth Officer of McDonald's China, delivered a speech.

He Yabin announced that in 2026, the globally popular breakfast star, the Maple Syrup Pancake Burger (McGriddles), will make its first limited-time appearance in mainland China.

According to the introduction, the Maple Syrup Pancake Burger features a maple syrup-flavored pancake as the base, layered with a classic pork patty and rich cheese, creating a unique flavor profile that intertwines savory and sweet notes. It will be available in two versions: one with a steamed egg and one without. From January 1 to January 4, the Maple Syrup Pancake Burger will be specially available all day for four consecutive days.
