On August 7 at 9:00 AM, a freight train loaded with cargo departed from Neijiang South Station under China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd., marking the official commencement of operations for the Neijiang International Logistics Port Railway Dedicated Line.
The Neijiang International Logistics Port Railway Dedicated Line connects to Neijiang South Station under the Neijiang Railway Department, covering an area of approximately 522 acres. It features one loading and unloading line for bulk and packaged goods, two container loading and unloading lines, one loading platform, and two warehouses. The facility has a designed annual capacity of 1.78 million tons, which will be increased to 2.67 million tons upon completion of the second phase.
The Neijiang Railway Department established a dedicated team to monitor construction safety and oversee the entire daily construction organization process. They conducted specialized training and simulation exercises targeting interlocking equipment changes to ensure the timely opening and operation of the Neijiang International Logistics Port Railway Dedicated Line. After the line's completion, the Neijiang Railway Engineering Department took full responsibility for line maintenance, arranging professional teams to implement daily maintenance, periodic inspections, and hazard remediation to ensure continuous good line conditions. The Chongqing Railway Logistics Center coordinated with multiple parties to form a management team, actively coordinating the efficient integration of this railway dedicated line into the rail network system and effectively ensuring train operations and cargo distribution.
"After the Neijiang International Logistics Port Railway Dedicated Line becomes operational, it will promote Neijiang International Logistics Port to become a southbound international train base and railway container hub station in Sichuan, better addressing railway transportation and storage issues for agricultural products, cold chain fresh goods, and other raw materials and industrial products suitable for container transportation," said a relevant official from the Neijiang International Logistics Port Management Committee.
