In Tongren City, data annotation work is connecting local businesses with the world. On February 9, at the data annotation base of Tongren Wangjia Information Technology Co., Ltd. located in Wangjia Community, Dandu Street, Wanshan District, the sounds of clicking mice and keyboards filled the air. Frame by frame of images, calibrated by data annotators, were being synchronized and transmitted back to enterprises in the eastern coastal regions. "Last year, the company's operating revenue exceeded 4 million yuan, creating jobs for over 100 people, most of whom are relocated residents," said He Ying, Secretary of the Wangjia Community Party Committee and Chairman of Tongren Wangjia Information Technology Co., Ltd., with visible delight. "No one would have imagined that we, relocated from deep mountainous areas, could engage in such technological work."
A single annotation base has driven employment for a large number of local residents. Currently, Tongren City is home to 12 data annotation enterprises, including Wangjia Information Technology, Ruichen Technology, and Ruizhi Xinke, providing stable employment for more than 1,200 people. The industrial indicators are impressive, and the growth momentum remains strong. In recent years, Tongren City has seized the strategic development opportunity presented by "Artificial Intelligence+." By 2025, the number of platform economy enterprises in the city is expected to exceed 100, including 16 large-scale platform economy enterprises each with revenues exceeding 100 million yuan. The platform economy scale has reached 34.6 billion yuan, marking the sixth consecutive year of growth. This continuous expansion injects robust "digital intelligence" momentum into the region's high-quality development.
