Direxion Daily MU Bull 2X Shares (MUU) plummeted 6.30% in pre-market trading on Friday, as profit-taking pressure swept through underlying holding Micron Technology and the broader semiconductor sector.

The sharp decline followed a strong rally in Micron during the prior session, which was fueled by Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirming that the automaker had secured a substantial allocation of memory chips from Micron on very reasonable terms. That upward momentum quickly reversed as investors locked in gains, with Wedbush analysts noting that while Micron's fundamentals remain solid, upside from current price levels appears limited. General DRAM price increases have also shown signs of deceleration, and the profit-taking sentiment spread across the chip sector.

As a 2x leveraged product, MUU structurally amplified the magnitude of Micron's retracement, resulting in the pronounced pre-market decline that significantly exceeded the pullback of the reference stock itself.
