VIRSCEND EDU (01565) announced its annual results for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2025. The group recorded revenue of RMB1.084 billion, marking a 13.5% year-on-year increase. Gross profit rose 8.3% to RMB339 million, while profit attributable to owners surged 28.2% to RMB57.696 million. Adjusted net profit grew 2.3% to RMB71.543 million, with basic earnings per share at 1.9 cents. The board proposed a final dividend of 0.20 HK cents per share and a special dividend of 0.30 HK cents per share.
The revenue growth was primarily driven by increased income from tuition fees, school canteen operations, and accommodation fees. Tuition fee revenue climbed 15.1%, while canteen operation fees and accommodation fees rose 12.5% and 12.9%, respectively. The growth in tuition and canteen fees was attributed to (i) higher student enrollment during the 2024/2025 academic year and (ii) an increase in average tuition fees across the group's schools.
