National Electronics Holdings (NATIONAL ELEC H, 00213) has released its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for the period 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, outlining efficiency gains, lower emissions and new climate targets across its watch manufacturing, property development and boutique hotel operations in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Canada.

Environmental Performance • Group-level energy consumption slipped 3.60% year-on-year to 13,921 GJ, driven by a 5.20% fall in electricity usage to 2.93 million kWh. • Water consumption declined 19.36% to 14,957 m³, helped by efficiency measures such as ECO Housekeeping at boutique hotels and expanded use of LED lighting and occupancy sensors. • Total Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 5.82% to 1,912 tCO₂e, with Scope 2 accounting for more than 90% of the footprint. The company has set a new goal to cut absolute Scope 1+2 emissions by a further 3% in the next reporting year. • Construction-related energy use dropped sharply to 4,162 GJ, reflecting different project phases and the completion of certain sites.

Operational Initiatives • Watch manufacturing targeted a 10% reduction in annual electricity and water use through upgraded machinery, eco-friendly lubricants and staff energy-saving protocols. • Property development adhered to BEAM and LEED guidelines, installing double-insulated glazing, green roofs and rainwater retention systems while aiming for at least 20% greenery in common areas. • Boutique investments pursued phased replacement of HVAC systems with higher-efficiency units, introduced water-saving housekeeping (13% water cut) and expanded LED lighting retrofits.

Risk & Compliance • Climate-related risk assessment integrated into the enterprise risk framework highlighted acute weather events, rising temperatures and emerging regulatory pressures; no material breaches of environmental laws were recorded. • No environmental, safety or anti-corruption violations occurred during the year.

Workforce & Safety • Headcount stood at 166 (48% female); overall turnover was 27%, skewed by short-term part-time hires. • Average training hours reached seven for male and four for female employees; 66 hours of anti-corruption training were delivered. • One work-related injury at boutique operations led to three lost days; zero fatalities were reported across all business units.

Supply Chain & Community • The group engaged 294 suppliers, 89% of which are based in Hong Kong and Mainland China, and conducts annual ESG and compliance reviews. • Community engagement continued via non-monetary initiatives, although no cash donations were recorded for the year.

Governance The board retains direct oversight of ESG strategy, supported by annual training and divisional reporting structures. Each business unit identifies and manages its own ESG and climate risks, feeding into group-level reviews.

Outlook National Electronics pledges to pursue its newly established 3% annual reduction target for Scope 1 and 2 emissions while expanding energy-efficiency projects and deepening supply-chain ESG screening in the coming year.
