According to reports, the head of Renesas Electronics' India division announced that 3nm process automotive chips designed collaboratively by Renesas' technical teams in Bangalore and Noida, India have completed tapeout and samples have been delivered to partners. Beyond the upstream design phase of the chip industry, Renesas will also expand its local chip manufacturing partnerships in India: the company will become a major customer of the Indian OSAT outsourced assembly and testing facility jointly operated with CG Power.

On another front, ARM Holdings held the inauguration ceremony for its Bangalore, India office on the 16th. According to Indian Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishna, this office will focus on cutting-edge chip design, including the most advanced 2nm process that is approaching commercialization.
