Private markets investment firm KKR & Co LP has announced the appointment of former Manulife Financial President and Chief Executive Officer Roy Gori as a Senior Adviser to the company.
According to the announcement, Gori will advise KKR on strategic opportunities within global financial services and insurance, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific and international markets. He will provide strategic counsel on insurance, wealth management, banking, distribution channels, and related financial services platforms.

In his senior adviser role, Gori will work closely with KKR's senior management team and investment professionals, providing strategic insights on market dynamics, regulatory environments, distribution models, strategic partnerships, and overseas opportunities within the global financial services industry.
Gori possesses over 30 years of management experience spanning the insurance, wealth management, and retail financial services sectors across Asia-Pacific, North America, and globally. From 2017 until his recent departure, Gori served as President and CEO of Manulife, leading the global insurance and wealth management group through a strategic transformation focused on digital innovation, customer-centricity, and sustainable growth.
Prior to becoming Group CEO, Gori served as President and CEO of Manulife Asia, managing operations across 12 markets and accelerating the group's expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. He began his career at Citibank in 1989, later advancing to oversee the bank's Asia-Pacific retail business, including its insurance and wealth management divisions.
