Jul 08

Biopharmaceutical firm Incyte has announced it will report its financial results for the second quarter of 2026 before the U.S. stock market opens on July 28. A conference call and webcast will follow at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the same day.

The upcoming quarterly report is drawing significant market attention. The company posted strong first-quarter results, with revenue reaching $1.27 billion, a 20.9% year-over-year increase. Earnings per share came in at $1.81, substantially surpassing market expectations of $1.38. Analysts currently forecast second-quarter revenue of approximately $911 million and adjusted earnings per share of around $1.01.

Key Focus for the Report

A major point of interest in this earnings release relates to the Opzelura cream. Incyte recently reached a settlement with the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regarding Medicaid rebate rules for Opzelura. This settlement will result in the company recognizing a non-cash, one-time benefit of approximately $246 million in the second quarter, which is expected to significantly boost the reported revenue figure.

Positive Product Developments

There are also positive developments on the product front. The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recently issued a positive opinion, recommending approval of Opzelura cream for adults with moderate atopic dermatitis. If approved by the European Commission, Opzelura would become the first non-steroidal topical JAK inhibitor approved in the European Union for moderate atopic dermatitis.

Analyst Expectations and Ratings

Analysts are watching to see if the company will update its guidance on the gross-to-net assumptions for Opzelura or raise its performance expectations for the product for the 2026 fiscal year. Financial institutions have also recently adjusted their ratings and price targets for Incyte. UBS maintained a Neutral rating while raising its price target from $103 to $113. HC Wainwright maintained a Buy rating and increased its price target to $140.
