Prudential plc cancels 270,412 shares and advances buyback plan

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 270,412 ordinary shares on Jul, 23 2026 after purchasing them on Jul, 21 2026.

The cancellation trimmed the insurer’s outstanding share capital to 2,505,787,846 ordinary shares, a decrease of about 0.01079%.

Separately, the company repurchased 269,247 shares on Jul, 23 2026 on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from GBP 10.80 to GBP 10.975 per share, for a total consideration of roughly 5.0 million Singapore dollars. These shares are earmarked for cancellation.

Prudential plc also holds 270,162 shares bought on Jul, 22 2026 that are awaiting cancellation. Cumulative purchases under the current mandate now stand at 106,924,792 shares, or about 4.11% of the company’s issued share base when the mandate was approved on May, 14 2025.

Under Hong Kong listing rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Aug, 22 2026 following the latest repurchase.
