SMIT Holdings Limited has delayed the despatch of its circular regarding the proposed disposal of the Group’s equity interest in Shenzhen Giga. The document, originally scheduled for release by 30 April 2026, is now expected on or before 29 May 2026.
The company attributed the postponement to the additional time required to prepare and finalise the financial information that must accompany the very substantial disposal circular in accordance with Hong Kong Listing Rules.
Management reiterated that the disposal remains subject to multiple conditions and may not proceed if these conditions are not satisfied. Accordingly, shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in SMIT securities.
The announcement was authorised by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Huang Xueliang and dated 30 April 2026. As of that date, SMIT’s board comprises two executive directors (Huang Xueliang and Chen Ying), two non-executive directors (Kwan Allan Chung-yuen and Cai Jing) and three independent non-executive directors (Jiang Chunqian, Woo Kar Tung Raymond and Zhang Min).
