Canadian tennis star Milos Raonic, a former world No. 3, has officially joined top Wall Street investment bank Goldman Sachs after stepping away from the professional court.
The big-serving player, nicknamed "Missile," has been working at Goldman Sachs since January 2026, completing a cross-industry transition from professional tennis to Wall Street.
Looking back at his career, Raonic's peak came in 2016. That year, he battled seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer in a five-set semifinal and eventually came from behind to win, becoming the first Canadian to reach a Grand Slam men's singles final, where he lost to Andy Murray.
In the same year, he reached the Australian Open semifinals and qualified for the ATP Finals for the first time, with his year-end ranking rising to a career-high world No. 3.
However, persistent foot and Achilles injuries in the later part of his career made it difficult for him to maintain top-level competitiveness. In January 2026, Raonic, then 35, officially announced his retirement. At that point, more than 18 months had passed since his last official match, which was a first-round exit at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
According to statistics, Raonic won 8 ATP titles in his career and accumulated more than $20 million in prize money. When announcing his retirement, he said he still had a long road ahead in life and that his drive was just as strong as when he first burst onto the scene in 2011.
