Hyphens Pharma International Limited reports 132.5% rise in first-half net profit on higher margins

Hyphens Pharma International Limited (1J5) released its results on Aug, 18 2026, announcing profit after tax of 4.6 million Singapore dollars for the six months ended Jun, 30 2026, an increase of 132.5% year on year. Attributable profit climbed 158.8% to 4.4 million Singapore dollars following the acquisition of the remaining 18% stake in Ardence Pharma on Apr, 29 2026, which lifted the Group’s ownership to 100%.

First-half revenue was 89.1 million Singapore dollars, marginally lower by 0.5% from the prior-year period. Gross margin improved by 2.9 percentage points to 42.3%, reflecting ongoing product-portfolio optimisation. Operating cash flow grew 27.2% to 9.2 million Singapore dollars, and the Group ended the period with 23.3 million Singapore dollars in cash, remaining in a net-cash position. Basic earnings per share rose to 1.41 Singapore cents from 0.54 Singapore cents a year earlier.

By segment, Pharmaceutical & Medical Aesthetics revenue fell 5.4% year on year to 48.9 million Singapore dollars, while Proprietary Brands revenue rose 17.9% to 20.6 million Singapore dollars. Digital Platform & e-Pharmacy revenue declined 4.1% to 19.6 million Singapore dollars.

Geographically, revenue from Singapore increased 1.9% to 47.9 million Singapore dollars. Vietnam and Malaysia posted gains of 2.1% and 7.4% respectively, reaching 20.5 million Singapore dollars and 13.7 million Singapore dollars. Revenue from “Others”, comprising Indonesia, the Philippines and discontinued Physiolac exports, fell 27.9% to 7.0 million Singapore dollars.

Hyphens Pharma said its focus remains on expanding higher-margin proprietary brands such as Ceradan, Ocean Health and Winlevi, while maintaining disciplined inventory and receivables management and pursuing further supply-chain efficiencies.
