The 2025 Beijing Tongzhou Canal Half Marathon is set to commence at 7:30 AM on November 9 (Sunday), with 15,000 participants expected to compete. The 21.0975-kilometer course will start at Sikong Fenshu Street in Tongzhou District, passing through key landmarks such as the Beijing (Tongzhou) Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Scenic Area, Canal Business District, the sub-center’s three major cultural facilities, and Lüxin Forest Park, before concluding at Renmin University’s Tongzhou campus. Runners will experience a blend of urban scenery and historical heritage along the route.
The detailed course is as follows: Sikong Fenshu Street (start) → Bin Hui North 1st Street → Xinhua North Street → Eastbound Xinhua East Street → Binhe North Road → Binhe Middle Road → Southeast-bound Huilin Road → Shangmatou Road → Lüxin Road → Northbound Huilin Road → Ningcui Road → Southbound Tonghuai Road → Northbound Tonghuai Road (U-turn) → Northbound Tongji Road → Northbound Luyang Street intersection (U-turn) → Southbound Tongji Road → Eastbound Luyang Street → Changhe West Road → Renmin University Tongzhou Campus (finish).
The finisher medal, meticulously designed by the event committee, integrates the auspicious motifs of the Baoxiang floral pattern with the cultural heritage of the Ran Lighthouse, symbolizing Tongzhou’s millennia-old history.
