New Century Group (HKEX: 00234) has announced its financial results for the year ended March 31, 2026. The company reported revenue of HK$66.796 million, representing a 26% decrease compared to the previous year. The loss attributable to shareholders was HK$28.46 million, which marks a significant 48.9% narrowing from the prior year's figure.

The basic loss per share was HK$0.49 cents. The reduction in the period's loss was primarily attributed to two key factors: a decrease in the fair value loss on the group's investment properties in Hong Kong, and a reduction in the net impairment losses on loans receivable, interest, and assets held for debt settlement.

These positive developments were partially offset by a substantial decline in interest income from the group's money lending business. Starting from the second quarter of 2025, a rebound in the residential property market prompted borrowers to sell their mortgaged properties, leading to an increase in mortgage loan repayments. Concurrently, intense competition from traditional banks resulted in fewer new loan applications, causing the mortgage loan portfolio to contract.
