In recent years, Zhenyuan County has leveraged its inherent strengths to vigorously develop distinctive industries, thereby strengthening its developmental foundation and solidifying the groundwork for rural revitalization, with notable results.

At the thousand-mu apple demonstration orchard in Zaolin Village, Taiping Town, neatly arranged trees are laden with flower buds. Workers move among them, busily engaged in maintenance. "At this stage, we need to be particularly focused and attentive to care for every tree properly, ensuring the maximum possible fruit yield," said Jiao Chunjuan, a villager from Zaolin Village, Taiping Town, who was thinning the apple blossoms.

The thousand-mu apple demonstration orchard in Zaolin Village spans 1,800 acres and is operated by Qingyang Juli Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. Relying on premium varieties such as Ruixue, Michira, and Venus Gold, the company generates annual revenues of approximately 30 million yuan. Simultaneously, it facilitates employment for over 300 households in the surrounding area.

"We have established seven agricultural industry demonstration points, including soybean-corn strip intercropping and new corn varieties, implementing a grain cultivation area of 82,000 mu. Focusing on the apple industry, we are promoting high-grafting for superior varieties and deep processing to enhance added value, thereby driving continuous income growth for fruit farmers. We are also ensuring the standardized operation of the white-feathered broiler industry, leveraging cluster effects and expanding the entire chain from breeding and processing to sales. This allows more people to increase their income through employment and cooperative dividends," said Zhang Yongpu, Party Secretary of Taiping Town.

Entering the edible fungus production base in Yuanzheng Village, Chengguan Town, rows of solar greenhouses stand in orderly lines. Inside, morel mushrooms are in harvest season, with workers busily picking, sorting, and packing.

"The base can provide employment for residents from several nearby natural villages. During the harvest period, labor demand reaches up to a thousand person-times. Each person can earn 110 yuan per day, with an average annual income nearing 20,000 yuan. Working locally is very convenient," said Zheng Fucheng, Director of the Yuanzheng Village Committee in Chengguan Town. He added that the base also contributes 100,000 yuan annually to the village collective economy, helping to resolve many local difficulties.

It is reported that the edible fungus production base in Yuanzheng Village has built 120 standard greenhouses. It innovatively adopts an "enterprise + Party branch + farmers" model, driving farmer income growth through land transfer, equity dividends, and local employment.

Today, distinctive industries are flourishing across Zhenyuan County, with industrial scale continuously expanding, industrial structure constantly optimizing, and industrial transformation yielding significant quality and efficiency improvements. These distinctive industries have not only enriched the populace but also invigorated their developmental mindset. The willingness of residents to engage in modern, efficient agriculture has strengthened, their drive has increased, and the endogenous momentum for rural revitalization continues to grow.
