ResMed shares recorded a sharp 6.07% decline in 24-hour trading, as investors reacted negatively to the company's fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 earnings report. Despite posting adjusted earnings per share of $2.95, which exceeded the consensus estimate of $2.89, and revenue of $1.46 billion that matched expectations, the market focused on a notable slowdown in top-line momentum.

Revenue grew approximately 8% year-over-year, a deceleration from the roughly 10% growth seen in the prior quarter. This moderation fueled concerns about the company's growth trajectory, overshadowing the positive earnings surprise and announcements of plans to return over $1.85 billion to shareholders in fiscal 2027, along with a 10% increase in the quarterly dividend to $0.66 per share.

The sell-off also occurs against a backdrop of recent headwinds, including competitive pressures from GLP-1 weight-loss drugs and the re-entry of a rival device into the market, which have contributed to multiple analyst downgrades and price target reductions in recent months.
