8月6日，路透社消息——Redwire Corporation（RDW）宣布，其太空制药子公司SpaceMD已签约首个商业飞行任务。该任务将使用SpaceX（SPCX）的“星坠”（Starfall）飞船，目标在于拓展太空环境下的药物研发与制造规模。
Redwire公司表示，SpaceMD此次签订的合同，核心是利用“星坠”飞船执行在轨制药任务。根据计划，该首次“星坠”任务将于2028年发射。届时，SpaceMD将搭载最多32个太空制药实验箱，用于在微重力环境下开展药物研发工作。
这一里程碑式的合同，标志着Redwire在商业化太空制药领域迈出了坚实一步。随着“星坠”飞船任务的敲定，太空制药从实验室走向产业化的路径愈发清晰。
