Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a presidential decree on September 28, extending the deadline for the ruble settlement mandate in natural gas trade from the originally scheduled October 1, 2026 to April 1, 2027.
The ruble settlement mandate requires that foreign buyers must deposit rubles into Russian suppliers' accounts at Russian banks in order to complete payment.
