据华尔街日报报道，人工智能初创公司Perplexity提出以345亿美元收购 谷歌 旗下的Chrome浏览器，以挑战这家科技巨头在网络搜索领域的主导地位。
Perplexity的出价远高于其自身估值（180亿美元）。该公司表示，包括多家大型风险投资基金在内的多位投资者已同意全额支持此次交易。对Chrome价值的估计则众说纷纭，但最近的估计从200亿美元到500亿美元不等。
Perplexity：承诺在Chrome浏览器的默认设置中保留用户选择权；承诺在未来24个月内向开放网络投资30亿美元。
此前，美国地方法院法官Amit Mehta正在权衡是否要强迫谷歌出售该浏览器，以削弱谷歌在网络搜索领域的垄断地位，Perplexity的出价可能是试图向法官发出信号，表明有一个感兴趣的买家。
