Vishay Intertechnology (VSH) shares tumbled 5.53% in pre-market trading Wednesday, following the release of the company's second-quarter financial results.

The semiconductor manufacturer reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.19, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.14. However, revenue came in at $888.575 million, missing analyst expectations of $897.490 million. The top-line shortfall appeared to overshadow the bottom-line beat, triggering a sell-off among investors.

Additionally, the company disclosed a gross margin of 23.3% and net earnings of $28.124 million for the quarter. Looking ahead, management issued third-quarter revenue guidance in the range of $945 million to $975 million.
