On Tuesday, Elon Musk shared a post from SpaceX's official account on X, stating that the company is searching for suitable locations both in the United States and abroad to construct "spaceports." This initiative aims to prepare for the future launch schedule of its massive Starship rocket, targeting thousands of launches annually.

The SpaceX post stated: "It's no secret that we plan to launch Starship frequently, with the goal of reaching thousands of launches per year. Achieving such a launch cadence requires the capability to launch from multiple diverse locations. Therefore, we have been exploring suitable sites to expand Starship launch operations domestically and internationally in the future."

Musk reposted this message, adding: "SpaceX is considering multiple locations, both domestic and international, to build the world's most advanced spaceport!"

Musk has previously indicated that future spaceports could operate more like airports, handling multiple launch missions per day and achieving rapid rocket turnaround.

According to earlier reports, SpaceX plans to go public in June, which is expected to be the world's largest initial public offering (IPO). The rocket manufacturer aims to raise up to $75 billion, targeting a valuation of approximately $1.75 trillion.

Currently, SpaceX conducts Starship test flights from its Starbase facility in Texas and is developing additional launch infrastructure in Florida. As global commercial launch activity surges, capacity at major launch sites is becoming increasingly strained, prompting SpaceX to actively advance its expansion plans.

SpaceX stated that the 12th test flight of Starship is planned as early as May 19. This flight will debut the new generation of the rocket, the Super Heavy booster, and Raptor engines, while testing upgrades designed to achieve full and rapid reusability of the rocket.
