Cheng Yixiao, founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Kuaishou Technology, delivered a keynote speech at the 2026 Kuaishou Guanghe Creator Conference on the evening of August 29. He stated that equality and inclusive benefits are the founding purpose of Kuaishou and remain an unwavering belief of its community.

The diverse and distinctive community ecosystem relies heavily on Kuaishou's inclusive traffic distribution system and interest-based connection mechanisms. Cheng noted that creators with fewer than 10,000 followers currently receive 75% of the platform's cold-start traffic allocation.

"We want every ordinary person, as long as they have expertise in a particular field and a passion for creating, to have the opportunity to be seen. Furthermore, our interest-tag-based distribution mechanism enables creators and users to connect more effectively in a mutually beneficial way," Cheng emphasized.

Cheng stressed that the platform's strategic direction is clear: high-quality creators who integrate both short videos and live streaming will receive better traffic support, and the platform aims to nurture leading creators across every content vertical. He recalled that last year, the company introduced the "integration of short video and live streaming" as a fundamental operational philosophy.

This year, Kuaishou will further strengthen the two-way cycle between outstanding live streamers and quality content creators. In the transition from live streaming to short videos, the platform will increase traffic support for streamers who publish high-quality videos. Conversely, in the shift from short videos to live streaming, the company firmly encourages quality video creators to start broadcasting.

Discussing AI technology innovation, Cheng mentioned that the Kling AI model series has introduced the industry's first native 4K video generation feature, which can directly output high-resolution footage without complex post-processing requirements. Additionally, Kling continues to enhance creative efficiency while maintaining dynamic quality and audio-visual synchronization. The technology has gradually entered the realm of film and television industrial production.

Cheng noted that AI not only provides creators with more efficient production tools but also enriches creative expression and empowers streamer growth and operations. First, AI has sparked new content categories and given traditional formats a fresh means of expression. Moreover, AI is empowering streamer operations across all scenarios.

"Looking toward the future from today's vantage point, the changes brought by the new AI wave are just beginning.
