Beng Kuang Marine has formed a new business in chemical cleaning and hot oil flushing services within its infrastructure and engineering (I&E) division.

This is part of the company’s internal restructuring and rebranding exercise to unify and streamline service offerings across its onshore and offshore engineering activities within its IE business, according to a release dated Aug 20.

The new business, named Clean Concept Works, is borne out of recognising opportunities in the niche field of specialised industrial chemical cleaning. CCW will focus on pre-commissioning and maintenance processes for FPSO vessels.

Beng Kuang Marine says that these specialised procedures play a critical role in safeguarding the performance, reliability, and lifespan of vital fluid systems, including piping, hydraulics, and lubrication circuits, ensuring they operate seamlessly within the demanding offshore environment of FPSOs.

CCW is formed together with Chew See Choon, who has 20 years of expertise in chemical cleaning, hot oil flushing and waste treatment, says Beng Kuang Marine.

Shares in Beng Kuang Marine closed 1 cent lower or 4% down at 24 cents on Aug 20.
