Bank of Qingdao Vice President Liu Peng Outlines Key Transaction Banking Divisions

At the 2025 performance briefing held by Bank of Qingdao on April 2, the bank's Executive Director and Vice President Liu Peng detailed the institution's transaction banking operations. He stated that the bank's transaction banking business is primarily composed of three segments: international business, supply chain finance, and cash management services.

Liu Peng further elaborated that regarding international business, Shandong Province possesses a very strong foundation in an export-oriented economy, with Qingdao City serving as a leader in this economic model. Consequently, Bank of Qingdao has integrated international business into its overall strategic planning. By utilizing its international settlement product suite, the bank provides customers with comprehensive service packages including account settlement, financing, and policy consulting to meet their diverse needs. This comprehensive financial service capability has gained broad market recognition. By the end of last year, the bank's international settlement volume exceeded 22 billion USD, achieving a year-on-year growth rate of over 26%.

The second area of focus is supply chain business. In recent years, Bank of Qingdao has developed an online supply chain finance product system to precisely address the financing needs of various enterprises. Through partnerships with core companies, the bank has provided trade financing support to thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises in the upstream industrial chain. The service scope covers multiple key sectors including manufacturing, utilities, healthcare, and agriculture.

The third component is cash management services. Bank of Qingdao continues to innovate its product offerings and accelerate the deployment of its smart treasury brand. It provides cash management services such as fund supervision and fund pooling for large corporate groups, government institutions, and other client segments. For small and medium-sized enterprises, the bank offers tailored smart treasury solutions based on industry-specific needs. To enhance service capabilities, the bank leverages client transaction demands to propose comprehensive service solutions centered on liquidity management, fund management, and extended services. Adopting a customized approach for each client, the bank consistently launches specialized products noted for their strong applicability, high flexibility, and excellent fit. Products such as clearing channels, cross-bank fund pooling, and fund supervision platforms provide clients with more options for accessing financial channels.
