Concord New Energy Group Limited (Concord New Energy) has obtained approval from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) for 1,000 MW of grid-connected power to support its planned data center development in Texas.
The authorization follows completion of a Large Load Interconnection Study and will be colocated with one of the company’s existing utility-scale solar and battery storage projects in the state.
Management identifies the power allotment as a pivotal step toward providing renewable-powered, hyperscale data infrastructure amid growing global demand for AI-ready computing capacity. The company expects the ERCOT approval to underpin additional digital-infrastructure initiatives within its development pipeline.
Concord New Energy cautions that the data center project remains subject to significant uncertainties and advises shareholders and potential investors to exercise prudence when dealing in the company’s securities.
