New China Life Insurance: JPMorgan Chase & Co. Acquires Shares, Long Position Rises to 5.02%

On September 28, 2026, JPMorgan Chase & Co. acquired a notifiable interest in New China Life Insurance (01336) because the percentage level of its interest in the shares held in its lending pool increased. The declarant bought 812,942 H shares off-exchange at an average of HKD 45.1552 per share, involving about HKD 36.71 million. Meanwhile, JPMorgan Chase & Co. also reported an increase in its short position, coming to hold 1% or more of the shares; the short position rose from 17.34 million shares to 17.47 million shares.

Prior to the acquisition, JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s long position in NCI was 51.10 million shares, representing 4.94%; following the acquisition, the holding changed to 51.92 million shares, with the long position ratio rising to 5.02%. The short position increased from 17.34 million shares (1.67%) to 17.47 million shares (1.68%).
