At the 2025 Guangzhou International Auto Show, NIO Inc. founder, chairman, and CEO Li Bin stated, "Our pure electric technology advantages are fully demonstrated in the Ledo L90 and the new NIO ES8. The most noticeable and high-frequency user value is the oversized front trunk, which significantly changes user driving behavior."

He explained, "In China, people usually park by backing in, which makes it difficult to access the rear trunk of large SUVs. Retrieving or storing items requires two separate actions, which is quite inconvenient. Our front trunk offers 240L of space with a lower opening, made possible by our 900V high-voltage technology and integrated, miniaturized components. These technological advancements enhance the user experience—space optimization is fundamentally driven by innovation."

Li Bin also revealed, "The Ledo L90 already has over 30,000 users. Our data shows that users now utilize the front trunk as frequently as the rear trunk, if not more. The new ES8, along with other products, caters to various scenarios, such as business use or chauffeur services—it’s the most chauffeur-friendly vehicle. We will continue developing more products. For example, combining the front and rear trunks allows storage for 10–12 suitcases for six passengers, addressing a long-standing SUV pain point: seating capacity versus storage limitations."
