Hong Kong Dollar HIBOR Shows Mixed Trends; One-Month Rate Unchanged at 2.55476%

On August 17, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates (HIBOR) showed mixed movements, with the one-month rate, which is closely tied to mortgage loans, remaining unchanged at 2.55476%.

The three-month rate, a key indicator of bank funding costs, fell by 1.989 basis points to 2.88577%. The overnight rate dropped by 4.929 basis points to 2.12321%, while the one-week rate held steady at 2.18649%. The two-week rate edged up 0.143 basis points to 2.28792%.

The two-month rate also saw no change, settling at 2.80000%. For longer tenors, the six-month rate increased by 0.405 basis points to 3.18673%, and the one-year rate rose by 1.399 basis points to 3.51399%.
