GuocoLand (Malaysia) Berhad (GUOCO) announced that its disinterested shareholders approved the proposed privatisation of the company via a selective capital reduction and repayment exercise at an extraordinary general meeting held on May, 29 2026.
The special resolution secured support from 63.29% of the disinterested shareholders in number and 99.84% in value of votes cast, with only 0.072% of total voting shares opposed.
Voting was conducted by poll, and the results were verified by independent scrutineer Symphony Corporate Services Sdn Bhd. The meeting took place at the Wau Bulan Ballroom, Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara.
The company was advised by Maybank Investment Bank Berhad.
