Cathay Pacific Keeps 6.08 Billion Shares Outstanding; Confirms Compliance with 16.7% Public-Float Threshold for May 2026

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited reported no change in its share capital structure for the month ended 31 May 2026. Issued ordinary shares remained at 6.08 billion, with no treasury shares held, leaving total issued shares unchanged at 6.08 billion.

The company reconfirmed that it met the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s public-float requirement as at 31 May 2026. Following a waiver granted on 20 June 2025, Cathay Pacific’s minimum public float threshold stands at 16.7%. The carrier affirmed full compliance with this level at month-end, after completing an off-market buy-back of 643.08 million ordinary shares on 24 February 2026.

No movements were recorded during May in respect of share options, warrants, convertible securities, other equity-linked agreements, or treasury-share transactions.
