The employee representatives’ meeting of Sichuan Expressway Company Limited convened on 25 March 2026 elected Li Tao as employee director for the eighth session of the board, with the appointment effective immediately and running concurrent with the board’s current term.
Li Tao, aged 55, holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Sichuan University of Economy and Trade and is a senior political engineer. Her career includes roles at Sichuan Chuanjiao Bridge Engineering Company Limited and the Department of Transportation of Sichuan Province, as well as successive posts within Sichuan Express, such as deputy secretary and secretary of the Youth League Committee, director of the Party Committee Office, General Manager’s Office, and General Office (Publicity Center). She has also served as supervisor of Sichuan Chengle Expressway Company Limited and employee representative supervisor of the Company’s supervisory committee. Li currently sits on the Party Committee and chairs the Company’s labor union.
The newly appointed director does not hold directorships in other listed companies, has no relationships with existing directors, senior management, or major shareholders, and holds no shares in the Company under Part XV of Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Ordinance. A service contract will be executed; Li Tao will not receive board remuneration but will be compensated under her existing labor contract and Company policies.
Following the appointment, the board comprises 11 members: four executive directors, two non-executive directors, four independent non-executive directors, and one employee director.
